A creative and versatile artist, Phillip Harold a.k.a."PHARO" has developed a reputation up and down the eastern seaboard for a distinctive combination of visual image and original music. He now resides on the West Coast, and has made his mark on the music scene there. Phillip Harold is a talented singer/songwriter as well as music producer who creates a new and exciting product. Phillip Harold is a new bloodline of music.
His sound is an intriguing combination of rock, funk, with a little added rhythm and blues. His versatile producing spans many styles and moods. With a range from modular ballads to the upbeat pop/rock sound, Phillip Harold has achieved recognition for composing and performing, as well as dynamic commercial appeal.
Early Successes
First emerging on the southeastern college and club circuit, Phillip Harold a.k.a. "PHARO" gained performing experience with such groups as MIXXBREED, ROTORIOUS, and MYSTIQUE. As keyboardist for the group Rotorious, they received airtime on local Alabama radio stations with their release of "Psychedelic World". His background encompasses opening for groups such as Ready For the World, The Gap Band, and Egyptian Lover. His success included opening for Joan Rivers in a Hollywood appearance at Carlos & Charley's. Phillip Harold didn't stop there. He went on to sing in the great André Crouch's Gospel Choir, and participated in "The Book" campaign with him. He had the honor of singing on the commercial, and appearing in it featuring greats such as Shirley Caesar, Smokey Robinson, Chaka Kahn, and M.C. Hammer, to name a few.
Phillip Harold has ventured into the world of soundtrack work. He collaborated recently with Thea, to compose and sing a complete soundtrack for a feature documentary, "For the Love of It", as well as scored and placed songs on "Only in Hollywood", and "Before the Fact". He has sung on and placed songs in several other films. Phillip Harold a.k.a. "PHARO" continues to record his original work, and currently has copyrighted nearly 200 songs.
