Kenny Macon a.K.a Phootphetish, and also dj Kenny Whip, a gifted Dj/Producer who has been engrossed in the NYC club scene since 1986. Being a regular at such clubs as Tunnel,The Choice,The World, Bassline, and Red Zone. But was a hardcore regular at NYC's Original Legendary Sound Factory which closed in 1995. He bought his first 12" record some 20 years ago, has witnessed the birth of House Music, and the sub-genre's of modern day dance music, and has been an avid Audio Enthusiast for over a fifteen years now. During the mid nineties, he worked at Nyc's veteran House label Kult Records, performing various task as an intern, and then being hired to run their retail and distribution operations, all this while honing his skills in the studio as a remixer and producer. He has done work for various New York House labels such as, Eightball Records, Kult Records, Groovilicious, Emotive, and Star 69 Records. With musical influences from pioneering House artists like Frankie Knuckles, Junior Vasquez, David Morales, and Dj Pierre to name a few. He quickly developed a truly unique New York City "HOUSE SOUND". With an uncanny sense of what makes a person truly move (and be moved) in a club, he has already garnered support for his music from such House Heavy-hitters like Peter Rauhofer, Jr. Vasquez, Victor Calderone, James Andersen, Kenny Reyes, Mitch Amtrak, DJ Escape, and many other highly skilled DJ/Producers all over the world.
