Details:
Welcome to the world of PESCOZADA... The secret that is no more amongst those who follow the Hip Hop in Spanish international scene. For several months a growing number of producers, artists, promoters, press, radio and television have discovered what everyone is considering "a new chapter in Latin American music".

The result of years of preparation, contacts, concerts and collaborations have culminated in Pescozada's fourth music project and their second album as a group.

"EL TEATRO PLEBEYO"

Ten MC collaborations, seven countries, five producers, four recording studios, one single purpose: To convert PESCOZADA into the most innovative, dynamic and lucrative group to come out of Latin America.

PESCOZADA was formed in 1998 by two friends who shared a passion for hip hop: Cesar Diaz Alvarenga (Debil Estar) and Luis Escobar (Fat Lui). Together and from an early age the members lived the darkest chapters of the civil war in their country, El Salvador, which had as it's bloodiest arena their province, Chalatenango.

In 2001, their first release "Diaz Ozkuros en el Barrio" was launched independently in the Central American region. Radio station recognized the cultural impact created y this record and begun to rotate songs such as "Dias Oscuros" and "Mi Flow".

In 2003, PESCOZADA produced and launched the first compilation of Salvadorian Hip Hop called "EL KLAN DE LA DIZCORDIA - La Primera Reunion". This release cemented hip hop as a powerful genre in Central America and especially in El Salvador. Once again, this was an independent effort but widely accepted by the public and media.

Also in 2003, La China Records and Universal Music (Spain) selected the song "¿Qué Estamos Haciendo?" for their second European compilation "Laboratorio Hip Hop Vol. 2".

That same year PESCOZADA was featured in several music productions that included collaborations with Reyes Del Bajo Mundo (USA), Meswey (USA) and XTUV (Mexico). The group created links to Hip Hop producers in the U.S. and Europe like March The 5th, Pete Wonder, SmoothCut, Omnionn and DJ Moon amongst others.

In 2004 DIALECTOS NATIVOS, a collaboration between SANTOS (USA) and PESCOZADA established an urban cultural bridge between first and second generation of Salvadoran and Central Americans born in North America. DIALECTOS NATIVOS has received a tremendous response from the international media Latin America, Spain and North America. For the first time the immigrant communities Central America has something that culturally represented them. A new generation of young consumers reconnected to their parents "dialecto" (dialect) and idiosyncrasies incased in Hip Hop rhythms.

"EL TEATRO PLEBEYO" is the most anticipated release by several music labels. The album is the result of world-class producers including SEAN T, ANDINO, OMNIONN MARCH THE 5TH, and PETE WONDER. The record includes collaborations with FROST (2001 Two-time Grammy winner), APOLO 11, REYES DEL BAJO MUNDO, XTUV, SANTOS, ROB WEST, MIC'KY and EL AS, and many other, making this album the most ambitious and complex Hip Hop en Español produced to this date.

With this new production, the Salvadoran duo, backed by the technical direction and the P.R. team from THE ASSEMBLYLINE, is establishing PESCOZADA as a power house in the genre and making the already strong presence in the U.S. and Latin America even stronger.
