Guitar instrumentals that let you know a musician can be melodic and yet rip up something fierce at the same time.
4 MP3 Songs
METAL: Doom/Stoner Metal, BLUES: Electric Blues
Details:
Just when you thought it was safe, Cooper releases this raw gem. It is essentially a demo that was recorded at different studios, at different points in time, and in different frames of mind.
"Rings Of Saturn" and "Wanna Play Ball Scarecrow" were recorded in the same studio as DYSPHORIA(About a year and a half prior to DYSPHORIA). While "Rasputin's Dance" and "B Train Shuffle" were done on good ol' hardcore four track recorders.
"B Train Shuffle" was the first thing the young gunslinger ever recorded and "Rasputin's Dance" followed months later. Most of the shredding on INFERNO starts after the 2:00 mark , so if you love quick ,yet more importantly, melodic leads then buy it. You do get a taste of the very cool "B train shuffle" blues leads which come across a bit like later Kirk Hammet work or some more traces of Stevie Ray.
Even at this early stage, Peter writes, supplies all the instrumental work and produces the pieces.
Do not be looking for over the top production on INFERNO, just be looking at it as a young man who had stars in his eyes while making it.
Cooper has always been a fan and believer of the punk and hardcore ethic however, which is: Fuck the big corporations and bigshots, and large productions and play from the heart and stay TRUE to who you are. That in essence is who he is as a person and how he feels about his music and the music of certain others.
