This is how Stage of Faith Productions and "Seven Stories From the Cross" came to life. Patty Ward and Mary Dudley, two lifelong friends, decided to join their musicianship and love of scripture to create a CD of original songs and meditations based on the last words of Christ from the cross.

Join Patty and Mary as they place themselves at the foot of the cross and contemplate our Lord's final sermon from Calvary.

More About The Artists:

Mary Dudley is the host of the daily morning program Live From the Shrine on Michigan Catholic Radio (1090AM Livonia/Detroit and 1080AM Owosso/Lansing and at www.catholicradio.org ). Upon graduation from Michigan State University with a degree in Communications, Mary attended Cooley Law School. While raising her children, she served as a volunteer in Michigan, Florida and California. Mary became a certified catechist while in Florida and completed the 40 week Ignatian Spiritual Exercises under a Jesuit director. She has done numerous public speaking engagements both as an educator and as a moderator. With friend Patty Ward, Mary co-founded Stage of Faith Productions in 2004, an apostolate that provides retreat programs and devotional CDs of original songs and meditations. She has also assisted in the design and implementation of communication strategies for a consulting firm specializing in non-profit organizations. Mary is a native of Detroit and resides in Michigan with Doug, her husband of 28 years. They have three grown children.

Patty Ward comes to Stage of Faith Productions following years of musical theatre and professional singing experience. Her favorite roles on the stage include Eliza Doolittle, Maria Von Trapp and Annie Oakley. Behind the scenes Patty has produced, choreographed and directed numerous musical productions. She has sung with local bands such as the "Gentlemen of Swing", the "Birmingham Concert Band" and the "Birmingham Straw Hat Band" with whom she sings presently. Patty appears weekly on Michigan Catholic Radio co-hosting "Booklights and Footlights" with Mary Dudley. She is a cantor at her parish in Birmingham, Michigan where her songwriting career began. Needing music for a faith-based production she was asked to present to her congregation, and unable to find suitable music, Patty decided to write her own. Thus, Stage of Faith Productions was born. Patty writes and performs the songs and Mary writes and performs the meditations. Together they have now completed three devotional CDs to assist others with their faith journeys: "Seven Stories From the Cross", "Seven Sorrows of Mary" and "LifeSongs: Prayers and Meditations". Patty and her husband Bill reside in Birmingham, Michigan and have three grown children.
