THE ARTISTE
Papa Tee, a.k.a Oluwatoyin Ojeyomi is a tested singer/songwriter, producer and performer who has expressed these talents and skills for over sixteen years in the Nigerian music environment. He started out in 1989 as a performer in nightclubs before he got a contract with Radio Lagos, a state owned radio station in 1991 as a d.j/presenter. While combining this with live performances and studio sessions, he met a Nigerian reggae music giant, Victor Essiet of the Mandators and they worked together with a producer called Lemmy Jackson, releasing an album called STORM. The song CHAMPION BUBBLER in the album featuring Papa Tee was a huge hit, which triggered off his journey properly in the world of music. Since then he has worked with numerous artistes both within the country and outside, some of which include King Sunny Ade (Nigeria), Dr.Alban (Sweden) and Nel Oliver (Benin Republic).
He has done well over 100 live performances in his career and has produced, written and performed almost fifteen station identification jingles which are very popular and widely accepted by radio listeners, for three state government owned radio stations (Radio Lagos 107.5fm,Eko 89.75fm, Gateway Radio 90.5fm and Lagos Television).
His radio presentation skills have also earned him a big recognition in the broadcast terrain plus nomination in the âMost Exciting Radio Presenterâ category, at the Fame Music Awards. However, He took a break off the airwaves in 2003 to promote and push his self- produced album called PERSPECTIVES. The track OLODUMARE on the album earned him a nomination at the KORA All Africa Music Awards in South Africa, in THE MOST PROMISING MALE category. Three tracks on the album âOLODUMARE, ENITABALABA and TOUCH it, got him featured on the popular Programme, WORLD TRACKS on Radio France International.
Today, Papa Tee writes songs, performs in recordings and on stage and also produces up-coming acts. He is the CEO of ETERNAL PRODUCTIONS and a partner on Jasonsâ Music, a traditional Gospel/Inspirational music Label.
He is also a consultant in the Music Business, serving as a guide to fellow Artistes.
