Details:
When Patrick Wilson packed up his life in the mid-90s and moved to the bright lights of Nashville, Tennessee, it was no suprise to those who knew him and his passion for music. The native of a small town nestled in rural northest Missouri, Patrick's upbringing was steeped in music and tradition--a talent passed down like a family heirloom. As a child, he would absorb the bluegrass music performed by his maternal grandfather, a farmer by trade, but musician by heart. Grandpa Bill and five of his siblings often played country and bluegrass shows, even landing some airtime at a local radio station.
Although he was enthralled by music of all genres, he didn't find his footing as a musician until a high school graduation gift in the form of an electric guitar piqued his interest. It was well over at that point. Patrick was hooked and he knew writing and performing music would be an integral part of his life.
Patrick's reflective lyrics and style of music are no doubt a product of his environment, in all it's eclecticglory.
