Wanna know more? Here's Parker's storyline.....
Story Line:
Goss lives in a room with his wife and his son. He is a rock star - a delusional rock star- who is his own imaginary pin-up press-on bonus icon. He is in his mid-thirties and no one knows his name in the context he would like to imagine except in France, where he was briefly a teenage idol of some importance. Rock and roll has ruined his life. All the teenage angst and making money from rebellion has gotten him only as far as his own room. Submersed in effect pedals, authorized autobiographies, and electronic interviews that plead for world peace, the show goes on. He has vested his life on the wrong road in the wrong country. He got a Small faces fair cut when no one knew who the Small Faces were. He played soccer instead of baseball, threw up on Guinness, cracked up on jokes about the Eagles, and hung out with Clash facsimile wanna-beeâs. They took attendance at the midnight showings of âA Clockwork Orangeâ, and side 3 of Quadrophenia is all that prepared him for what is left. He bought England. Heâs screwed. He is screwed fantastic.
But, today he is Mick Jagger or maybe Ian Hunter, and tomorrow letâs say Ray Davies, flash-enhanced with machines, samplers and hard drives dubbed with Xerox adulation and sensual simulation. He is an artist, and a product, but dinnerâs getting cold again ...
