The "Cold Open" is Parker's first of two releases. Parker is a breath of fresh air when it comes to today's popular music, focusing on writing music that comes from the passion within each member. Stylistically, they hint at a vague blue-eyed soul/R&B sensibility, but remain firmly a modern rock band. The last remaining members of an Inland Empire funk band joined forces with some talented song writers from Fullerton, California to create an edgey, laid back, rhythm based variation on rock music. Their eclectic, artistic writing style really demonstrates the talent of the band, whose backgrounds cover a wide spectrum of musical styles. They have a passion to play and their music portrays that.
