Details:
Peek-a-boo Flatfish is the illegitimate child of Larry DeMarco and Art Bernstein. The band was formed shortly after Larryâs return from London, England in 1996. The two had played together in several projects previously, most notably a four member progressive rock ensemble called âWhy?â Peek-a-boo Flatfish was formed with an eye toward abandoning flashy instrumentalism and writing catchy radio friendly songs.
Early on, the duo completed a six song demo combined with several previously written instrumental works entitled âShameless Pop.â That CD can be found on its on web page at this site.
After a year and many months of writing and personnel difficulties, the idea of maintaining a performing group fell by the wayside and both founding members pursued other projects. Larry continued writing and recording music that was an outgrowth of the project, using various session musicians along the way. The result is the album âWhiter.â
Larry and Art have recently recombined musical resources and begun working on new Peek-a-boo Flatfish material. The new album will likely be named âArtifactsâ and is planned to be released in early 2007.
