The young Austrian violinist/singer/songwriter, a graduate of the New School Jazz program in NYC, has established herself on the NYC scene, both as a bandleader and sidewoman, working with such diverse artists like Joanne Brackeen, Billy Hart, Butch Morris, Abbey Lincoln, James Hurt, David Gilmore, Cheik-Tidiane Seck, DJ Spooky to name a few.
Her original compositions are influenced not only by her Jazz influences, but also by her diverse musical experiences playing in Afro-Cuban, African, Urban Soul and Brazilian bands. Her writing is complex, yet very lyrical and facile, historically aware, new and dynamic.
