This CJ Eiriksson (Fiona Apple, Something Corporate) produced EP is a radio-friendly treasure chest of hooks, and good ole' rock n'roll.
4 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Power Pop
Details:
This final release from The Professional Americans is a four-song showcase of the bandâs pop sensibility delivered with some clever production from producer CJ Eiriksson (Fiona Apple, Something Corporate, Jackâs Mannequin).
The compact EP was recorded in only 2 days, and was a blur of melody, beats, and bass lines. The quick recording process reflected the short, driving songs that were building the bandâs fanbase throughout the Midwest.
The EP begins with the boisterous, fist-pounding anthem âAll We Have to Do.â âThe song is a call for faith in action,â says Jason Poe, frontman and songwriter for Pro Am. âI wanted that song to be a reminder to myself that if I could trust enough to take a leap of faith, I would see my life become effective.â
The second track, âThe Moving of the Dayâ, is a barrage of hooks and heartfelt lyrics dealing with the passage of time and the fear that can accompany growing up. Thought by many to be a breakthrough track for the band, âThe Moving of the Dayâ will easily be a fan favorite.
The EP concludes with the pop-rock gem âCâmon.â With its sing-song chorus and unforgettable verse hook, âCâmonâ instantly became an industry insider favorite. As the fourth, and final track on the self-titled EP, âCâmonâ served as the perfect closer to an EP crammed full of masterful pop-rock anthems.
