One could say that Pride and Joy was born on April 8,1960.It was on that day that Buddy and Rene Hennington were married and began the family that is their Pride and Joy. Hailing from the great state of Mississippi with father Buddy on piano and vocals, mother Rene on bass guitar, daughter Theresa on vocals, sons Fred on drums and Ted on guitar,dobro and mandolin, and granddaughter Lisa on vocals, Pride & Joy is a family group in every sense of the word. On their latest effort, "Gospel Music From The South",it is obvious how much this family loves the Lord, and making music that praises Him. The Cd's liner notes state Pride & Joy's mission in their own words,"We are truly humbled to be able to serve our Lord Jesus Christ through our music and our lives.
