The Projects. The name tells the story. Started as a few friends jamming together as a project, songs started to appear out of nowhere. These songs decided they wanted to be heard by people so a band was formed to accommodate the songs. First the songs were recorded in Dae Dor studios, owned by Danny and Tony, members of The Projects. Danny, Tony, Nick and Blake created their Debut EP in the early part of 2005. In finishing the cd, a realization occurred. Since Danny played drums and guitar, and there were points where Tony played keys and guitar, the music needed some more members to perform these songs.

Thats where John and Hazen come in. We asked John to play drums, he said yes. Hazen heard some of our tracks, he liked it, so we asked him to play with us. He said yes. The band had its first practice in June of 2005, the first time the songs had actually been played live. Everything clicked instantly and the chemistry was there; possibly because The Projects knew each other very well, not only as musicians from bands or projects in the past, but as friends.

Since then, The Projects have been performing in clubs all around South Florida, and have quickly built up a following in their home town area, as well as a strong following on MySpace.com. Now, an official band, The Projects are doing everything they can to create music that makes them happy, and hopefully their fans will like it as well. This page is run by The Projects, so feel free to email, comment and ask whatever you wish. A new full length is in the works, so keep an ear out for updates. This album will represent us as a full band, although we still see our music as a project with no restrictions. Thanks for checking us out and we hope to see you out at a show in the future.
