"Songs and Dances," the Baxter/Ghezzi Duo's new CD is currently available on the Eroica label. The recording includes Four Tableaus by Jeffery Cotton, Suites by John Duarte, Enyss Djemil and Franco Margola, and arrangements of songs by Gabriel Faure and Laurie MacGregor.

The Baxter/Ghezzi Flute and Guitar Duo have been performing together since they met in 1995. They have appeared on college campuses and in concert series and have been featured in live performances on Vermont Public Radio and WCAX/TV in Burlington, Vermont. In addition they have presented unique chamber music recitals in collaboration with cellist Dieuwke Davydov, violist Marilyn Johnson and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Carol Hansen.

In July, 2003 the Duo was in residence as part of the Special Emphasis Series at Camp Denali, Denali National Park, Alaska

Heidi Bothfeld Baxter is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music. She was a member of the Boston Civic Symphony, the Brookline Symphony and the Mystic Valley Chamber Orchestra as well as several chamber music groups. Since moving to the Upper Valley in 1986 Heidi has performed regularly with the Vermont Mozart Festival, The Vermont Symphony Orchestra and the Opera North Orchestra. Chamber music has included working with the Alcott Ensemble, the Vermont Flute Ensemble, Classicopia, and several solo recitals with pianist Jeanne Chambers. Her principal teachers include Lois Schaefer, Claude Monteux, and John Heiss as well as continuing Master Classes with world famous flutists. She has also been a flute maker at the Powell Flute Company of Boston. She also earned a Master of Library Science from Simmons College. She teaches extensively in her private studio in Hanover, NH where she lives with her husband and four children.

William Ghezzi has performed with orchestras, chamber ensembles, dance companies, in theater and opera, and for radio and television. He has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Harry Partch Ensemble, the Philadelphia Guitar Ensemble and in many other chamber music settings. Mr. Ghezzi received a Bachelor of Music degree from Temple University, College of Music where he studied with Peter Segal and Anna Kotsaranko. His transcriptions and editions have been published by Trillenium Music and Acoma Nambe Editions. He has studied privately with Phillip de Fremery, Peter Segal, Eliot Fisk and Vladimir Mikulka. Mr. Ghezzi has been on the music faculties of Temple University, Chestnut Hill College and Settlement Music School in Philadelphia. In 1990 he received a Master of Science degree from Drexel University College of Information Studies. Currently he is Cataloging & Metadata Services Librarian at Dartmouth College and teaches privately in his home in Hanover, New Hampshire where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
