Details:
âthe band started as an expressive release for me. Writing songs, exorcising demons, cleaning closets and sharing them with whoever would listen, family, friends, loved ones and any crowd willing.â The original idea behind Point 3 as stated in an interview with band frontman Mark Heaps, back in 2001.
The band has gone through changes over the last few years finding itâs tightest and most family like arrangement to date. Adam Guzman, Jeff Croall and Jef Tyler complete the rock lineup to Point 3âs sincere and genuine sound. After a short hiatus while drummer Adam Guzman was called to arms in Iraq as a Marine, the band found their center through patience and perceverance. Taking the year of 2006 to write new material and explore other creative outlets, the band continues together, stronger and more united than ever.
After some success, playing small and major venues in Northern California. The band has received extremely positve reviews for their first full album âThe Short Illustrations of Disproportion.â released 2005. While receiving continuous airplay on local bay area radio stations, college stations throughout America, and small stations throughout Europe. The members of Point 3 have always enjoyed and appreciated the support of fans locally and internationally. The goal of the band has always been to create genuine music that could connect to the story of any one persons daily life and transcend the trends of the moment and make lasting, quality rock music.
Pulling influences not only from music but also from all other elements of daily life, the band love what they do and anywhere they get to do it. If the band isnât on stage or in studio somewhere thereâs a good chance they are watching cartoons and eating a pizza.
âif we could die doing this, well that wouldnât be so bad now would it?â The ending statement from the Point 3 interview on Latin Eyes TV in 2004 by frontman Mark Heaps.
Mark Heaps-vocals, guitar
Jef Tyler-guitar
Jeff Croall-bass
