ROCK: 70's Rock, POP: Bubblegum Pop

Details:
The year was 1978. Punk was happening and so was CBGB's. Lot's of NYC punk rockers were getting signed and one of the leading record companies was Stiff/EMI. They signed a band called Dirty Looks and, although record wasn't a smash, the band's drummer, Peter "Parker" Minucci, went on to play with many great bands throughout the 80's & 90's. Most notable are his trips around the world with the Waterboys and the two CD's he appeared on with Pin Ups.

Pin Ups also features singer/guitarist Randy Roberts and keyboard wiz Bad Ronald. Ron and Randy were the core of a New Jersey based act called Running Red before heading into Laughing Dog studio, where they emerged as Pin Ups.

"Pin Ups ...sound like Electric Angels, Sweet and Lou Reed......" Musicians' Exchange

"...their music is pop-sounding....they have your sing-a-long song "Tonite", your mid tempo "Rock & Roll" and "Communion", your sex oriented "Groovy" and "Pride" which is their ballad. If you like pop-rock, you might just get into this band" East Coast Romper

"Il y a un petit cote retro dans le style qui ne devrait pas decevoir un fan d'un Iggy Pop ou d'un David Bowie d'une certaine époque." Hollywood Blvd. Magazine (France).
