High octane country with a twang.
10 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Traditional Country
Details:
Shining brighter than a comet and burning out just as fast Pitch Fork raised a raucous in St. Louis. In their brief existence from 2002-2004 this band was nominated for awards from the RFT and played music festivals including the Schlafly Tap Roomâs âThe Lotâ in 2004. Featuring the talented writing of Lance âColoradoâ Thomas, Brian âDudeâ Cummings and Mike âSkeeterâ Heeter Pitch Fork spun tales of white trash life in Missourah into their original compositions.
Pitch Forkâs first gig was at the infamous Frederickâs Music Lounge in St. Louis. The band managed to fill the place with beer drinkers and that was all it took for owner Fred Friction to book them regularly for the next two years. New members joined Pitchfork during that time. With Lance âNubâ Hidebrand on the drums, Greg âRusty Nutâ Meyerkord with his fiddle and Shawn T. âBuckoâ Bell added on Bass what started as a laid-back three man acoustic act snowballed into a five man country rock show with all the onstage antics and excitement of a national touring band.
Fortunately the band managed to pull together one cd from several studio sessions prior to their break-up in September of 2004. The Sounds Like Chicken CD represents a collaborative effort from all members of the band including the design, music production and photography.
