Featuring ex-members of Junction 18, Condition Blue and Cemetary Superfly, S.I.A.B. is impossible to lock down into one musical category. One song may sound almost punk then the next tracks could jump from Elvis Costello to Pink Floyd to Weezer. Ryan, Pete and Andy flex their vast collective vocal range with complex three-part harmonies and intricate melodies laid over layers of sweet sonic soundscapes. Simply recorded on a laptop, this album was an experiment in good ole' do-it-yourself low-fi but the songs speak for themselves. It was the first effort by the new line up which added Pete Matthew (guitar, bass, vocals), Andy Gulinello (drums, vocals) and Ryan Spencer (bass). Ryan McHugh (vocals, lead guitar) is the only remaining founding member as Jim Mitchell (drums, vocals) left the band to join Bayside (Victory Records) and Aubrey Cloutier (bass, vocals) left the band to move to Berklee California after the release of the bands first two albums "Future Museum" and "Mirrors and Errors" (both released in 2002). The band is currently working on a new batch of songs in Ryan's newly renovated home studio which has expanded quite a bit from the old laptop...
