Details:
Meet THE PILOT LIES, a sincerely alternative rock/pop band with a desire to be different and a soft spot for the strange and mysterious. The trio includes William (Guitar/Vocals), Michael (Bass/Noise), and Christopher (Percussives); ordinary names for minds that are anything but.

A formation sparked by a chance meeting and the realization of great potential, the group is a true tripod when it comes to support. Rarely will you find a more creative atmosphere than that of the band's humble headquarters; a house stationed just a block away from one of the largest cemeteries in the city of Syracuse. The sounds are unique, the lights burn late and as witnesses say, 'there's always something going on.'

Despite today's increasingly popular 'more is better' attitude, their songs present a swimming dynamic that makes The Pilot Lies a model for powerful simplicity and a respectable three piece machine.

Seeking new opportunities, the band signed on with Aux Records in 2005 with a newly refined sound reminding some of Placebo, Smashing Pumpkins or Cave In's 'Antenna', and others of Our Lady Peace. The band has one album to their credit, their debut disc 'Do Things Look Any Better?' which they recorded themselves in a studio they built in upstate New York. The album was released by Aux Records in May of 2006.
