The concept of this album, if there is one, was to create a collection of songs that reflect my influences and tastes, rather than a "one-size-fits-all", monochromatic, single-genre type of project. Most of these songs I play live, stripped down, but I felt the ideas needed to be fleshed out in some cases, so you may hear a full rock band, blue grass quartet, or vaudeville style acoustic ensemble. The album seems to come more out of the late 1960's, a time when many bands produced albums with an interesting mix of styles and ensembles. If I've come close to recreating that vibe, and if it speaks to you, it will have all been worthwhile.
