Iman Electric is made up of four members: Alex, J.R, Mac and Mark. We live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and we were brought together by the love of making loud and heavy rock'n roll. We all bring different backgrounds and musical tastes to our songs and this is reflected in this album. Stylistically the songs on this E.P. are about as heavy as we could possibly make them without melting the average consumer mp3 player - but beyond that there are elements of punk, hard rock, classic rock and classic metal throughout just about every song. Lyrically, the content ranges from social commentary (Prison State and Summer Nights) to observations about the human condition (Super 8 and Lothario) to angsty farewells (Glasshouse).

Saw a boy by the playground slide, with a busted lip and bruise on his eye, asked him what the trouble is he said they called me out I lost my shit, my dads gonna kick my ass again, cause I got kicked out of school again, the only thing he did was teach me how to fight, but even when I do I canât do right

And I wonât call you my friend, no I wonât lift you up again, âcause there are things that we have done, that cannot be undone

Just to get through, just to get by, just to be wanted

Now the boy has become a man, heâs got kids of his own and heavy hand, sheâs turning tricks down at the Super 8, sheâs got kids of her own but they belong to the state, you say you could not stand by and live a life so full of lies, but sometimes the only lessons you learn, are the ones that you get when youâre being burned

4. Summer Nights

Tell your friends to stay inside because theyâre out in the shadows and theyâre carrying knives, I donât know what weâve done but thereâs one thing for certain the terror won. Lie in bed staring at the ceiling clinching our fingers until they loss feeling, while theyâre out in the hot summer nights killing our children raping our wives⦠Here we go!
