Yes, Lee Mellor just might be Canadaâs most underrated songwriter. After the critical acclaim received for his debut album Ghost Town Heart in 2007, Mellor was disheartened when financial success didnât follow. After an injury that left him experiencing chronic pain and a whole lot of personal introspection, Mellor decided there was nothing left to lose, and that his next album would be for himself. âI really had made it,â he says over the phone between rehearsals. âI just had to shed the societal notions of success in order to fully realize it.â
