Details:
Full Bloom was originally formed in El Paso, TX in 1997 by founding members, Michael Anaya, Adan Mares, and Vince Lotito. In 1998 the band recorded and released its debut CD, No Limits, which spawned such standout cuts as Wash My Pain Away, Cold August, Ocean So Blue, Til You Give, and Ghosts. During the next two years, the band's popularity and support ballooned through constant performing throughout West Texas and New Mexico, including opening dates for national recording artists, Enuff Z'Nuff and the Diner Junkies; performing at the annual KLAQ Balloon Festival in Anthony, TX; appearing on various local and national internet radio shows; and, garnering interest among notable record producers. In late 1999, after recording demos in Lubbock, TX, relocation circumstances arose which forced the band into a much too early demise. During the next few years, members of the band continued their musical pursuits under various projects, but never duplicated the raw power and magic that was Full Bloom. After a 6-year hiatus, Full Bloom returned with more energy than ever. Along with original founders, Michael Anaya and Adan Mares, the group added guitarist, Terry Horan, to complete the line-up and quickly immersed themselves into the studio to work on the band's second offering. In preparation for its release, the band competed and won 1st place in a highly anticipated and competitive battle of the bands, sponsored by Guitar Center and Danco Media Events. In June 2006 Full Bloom released their long overdue sophomore CD, 1917. Combining a variety of musical influences, including alternative rock, hard rock, pop, punk, and reggae, Full Bloom created a powerful repertoire of music that bridged generations of music enthusiasts. On the strength of such tracks as Piedras, Stranded, Billy The Kid, Sinking, and Something Wicked This Way Comes, the band supported its release by performing at various venues and showcases, including opening for Urban Cowboy rebel rouser, Johnny Lee. As the band began planning for its next musical adventure, Terry Horan departed, leaving the guitarist slot open for the inevitable return of original guitarist, Vince Lotito. Along with newest member and second guitarist, Mark Paulus, the band completed their most consistent and compelling album to date, Among The Ghosts, in 2009. From the haunting title track to such cuts as Crumble Down, Farther, Ready Or Not, and the Eagles' inspired, How Many Tears?, Among The Ghosts takes the listener through a musical journey of new heights that has been missing in today's musical landscapes, a true musical triumph. On the strength of this release, Full Bloom officially signed with DEKA Records, culminating in the worldwide release of Among The Ghosts on July 27, 2010. Never known to rest on their laurels, Full Bloom began writing and recording new songs for their scheduled 2011 release, Travelers' Tales. A concept album that quickly took a life of it's own, Travelers' Tales sees Full Bloom at it's absolute best with an edgy attitude that exudes confidence, maturity, and, great imagination. From the Sabbath influenced sounds of Evil Winds to the eerie subject matter of 3 a.m., Full Bloom has created a wicked masterpiece that takes the listener back to a time of campfire ghost stories and tall tales, a must listen. With something for everyone, Full Bloom is ear candy at its best.
