Details:
Formerly known as Knowledge, the Conjurer has never wasted a verse. Influenced by the lyrically poignant MCs of old, he developed his own skills to one day produce, write and perform self-sufficiently. While his esoteric analogy for emceeing is evident, this is none more prevalent than the Pan-African and human consciousness he is known to promote. However, âThe Demosâ take a break from the usual, and allowed the Conjurer to experiment with different musical styles and to attract various audiences to hip hop.
First off, itâs important to understand the circumstances. âIt seems like yesterday I recorded my first album. Lyrically, it was good, especially at 14, but had poor sound quality. But most underground heads can still appreciate that, and that's what I love about itâ, the Conjurer said, referring to his first release, âKnowledge of Selfâ. I wouldnât change a thing, not even the mistakes. I was determined to remain independent, and thatâs what drove me.â Now, âThe Demosâ represent his most serious release yet, recorded with a budget of roughly $300.
âWait for the Stormâ seems to be the theme of this mixtape, as the short, but notable release leaves most impressed but wondering whatâs to come. To answer that, Knowledge suggests that a couple of smaller projects will follow this, with an eventual LP to be released for wide distribution.
"A spell is nothing more than words spoken with meaning behind them; It's about karma and a lot of people forget that. Every emcee, regardless of how tough or tempered, knows that the minute you say something to others, you invite the possibility of that happening to you tenfold, and we've seen this happen".

3. A Speech to the Circus of Mainstream hip-hop
