Thank God, this is my first "Cross-Over Album" It is designed to reach everyone who needs to hear a message of hope. To sing praises even-though you might not be the best singer. The songs where written for everyone. Plus,
everyone envolved on this album wants to bless you with these insperational messages.
Now let me introduce myself, my name is Heather Newman, I am a child of the most high God, a wife, and a mother of three sons. I am the Minister of Music at Union Missionary Baptist Church where I play the organ for its six different groups of people: The Children's choir, Male Chorus, Adult Choir, Senior Choir, Mass Choir, and of course The Praise Team. My mother is Caucasion and my father African American. I was brought up in Union Missionary Baptist Church where my Grandfather was the Pastor.
I was on a mission, searching for new music for each of these different groups. Trying to find something suitable for them. I would find myself listening to a very large variety of "Gospel" and "Christian" music. Always knowing God had a special plan for my life. I believe all people have the right to praise God and He inhibits the praises of His people. God hears all of us singing His praises. That's why I believe a "Cross-Over" blend of "Christian" and "Gospel" music is what I am here to create.
When I think about it, I am so glad He loves us, every one. It's because of His unconditional love we are forgiven, because of His unconditional love we are saved, because of His unconditional love we have hope. Thats why, I wrote "My God Never Stopped Loving Me." It is simple to sing and anyone whether a child, senior, man, woman of any nationality "who-so-ever", can sing this song.
In my journey I have been blessed, although I have experienced some heart-aches I have learned to praise God, through all trials and tribulations. At one of the lowest times in my life, I found myself saying, "I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth." Just like Paul and Silas did at mid-night. They sang and prayed and the prisoners heard them. This was my inspiration for, "I will bless the Lord".
I Pray that God Blesses you, with whatever you need, through this music.-Heather Newman
