this is the third album project that i ve had the pleasure of working on with hartley. His songs and poems depict modern life and the human condition with a voice and vision that i think is insightful and poignant, even courageous. Leaving no stone unturned, Hartley speaks and sings of politics and death, the madness of war, lonliness and the longing for love. He questions and confronts the power and influence that technology. the media and organized religion have over our lives.Hartley does not, as he states in one of the pieces do the entertainment thing.
