Over the last few years I have written the songs you will hear on the CD.
Many people to whom I have played Ngoni have said they would like to Massage to this music, or do Yoga, Watsu, or Pilates. So the idea was formed to make a CD that can be used for an hour practice.
The first 5 minutes of track one are designed to relax people and help them to a state of rest. The last track is meant to bring people back to the world. This leaves just over an hour in the main body of the CD.
The Marimba and Ngoni have been used as they have a high harmonic component to their sound. Harmonics help to stimulate the nervous system. The Flute has been used as the air instrument to balance the ground instruments (Ngoni and Marimba).
My hope is that this music will help people gain a state of invigorated calmness.
