Details:
Mississippi Reminiscence, E's fourth project
celebrates a departure for this artist, setting the
stage for yet another role as he puts a soulful and
unmistakable "E" touch on Muddy Water's ("Long
Distance Call").

The 10-track Mississippi Reminiscence is far and away
the most stark and deeply personal work of E's
career. Based on original material, songs like
"Graduation Day" deals directly with E's own inner
self.

E also tackles three classics of the blues' idiom, "Sittin' On Top of the World," "I Ain't Superstitious" "Voodoo Man" and reinvents them with his guitar style vocal moans that takes you back to the blues most primitive origins, yet sounding like the most modern blues of the day.

E does not envy musicians who spend countless hours in the studio trying to procure the perfect recording. Every track on Mississippi Reminiscence was recorded in one and two takes. E seemingly transported himself to a different existential plane, rocking back and forth, audibly groaning, while excavating tangled guitar notes from
his black Ibenez Talman.

The partnering of Eâs voice, guitar and harps, is revealing in itself. His vocal phrasing, often behind the measure of his own rhythms, creates a sound as distinct as any in blues.
