Details:
This album is the first collaborative effort of five individuals who came together randomly; some from prior bands, others who were sought out by last ditch attempts and trollings through social networking sites. Whether the universe has a plan or not isn't something to debate here, but what we've learned from each other in discussion and from the research and endless amounts of reading we've done - it makes us believe there's been at least purpose behind this project from the beginning and throughout. There's been no coincidence. There have been no accidents.
The concept we chose to embark on together spans much farther than what we've encompassed here. By now nearly everyone knows about the supposed "impending doom" that awaits us in the final month of 2012. We'd never claim to be experts on the matter. Anyone who has done any research into this subject would be a fool to do so. Our perception of 2012 has and always will be that it symbolizes a time and a need for evolution. Put simply, we can not continue on the path we've taken as a species and expect that we will sustain ourselves.
Our subject matter covers everything from universal laws, dreams, oppressive governments, rebellious citizens and even boldly offers a view point of our planet from an outside being watching our demise. Perhaps it's always been our fate to perish. Solar flares, tidal waves, earthquakes, famine, mass genocide, and nuclear bombings - The most ironic fate would be the one we saw coming and refused to abort simply because of our own unwillingness to do anything about it.
We decided in the end not to do this album in a studio. We skipped the bells and whistles. This concept became far more than just a project to explore what we could achieve as a band - it became a project to explore what we could do as individuals as well. Writing, recording and mixing this LP ourselves was the best way we felt we could release something that had affected all of us on such a personal level.
We are proud of what we've achieved with this project and are excited by what we've gained from the experience and where we go from here. This album gave us insight into where this band excels and doesn't and should be considered nothing more than a gateway into what we have in store for you.
You are the catalyst for our art and without your ears, our efforts would remain as a falling tree in the woods with no one to hear it. Words hold no merit to the level of appreciation we hold to you all. With that we humbly say, thank you, enjoy and get ready for more.
Cheers.
