A classical musician takes a night out on the town to different dance clubs reflecting on the evolution of music and the dramatic influences of European gypsies and American slaves. He stumbles upon a church gospel revival.

Gitcha Groove On is about a classical musician who likes to dance going clubbing. He starts with a drink at his neighborhood bar with its classic rock on the jukebox. He walks out feeling numb and thinks about the revolution in music sparked by the introduction of the "blues 3rd" by African-Americans. Appropriately he is drawn in to a blues club featuring a vintage style that turns into a wild rock-a-billy. Having enjoyed that, he leaves craving something deeper. He thinks of the gypsies and what those darker folk brought to European music in the mid-19th-Century. He then realizes a progression from Mozart's Requiem to Wagner's Renunciation of Love theme from Das Rheingold just as he's walking by a Baptist church in high swing with gospel music. He's drawn in by the incredible spirituality of the experience. When he leaves the church uplifted, he reflects and, finding himself once more, comes up with a groove of his own as he walks on down the street.
