About the Artistâ¦.
Singer/ Songwriter Jeff Vitelli was born in Norristown, PA. Jeff began performing at a very young age and landed a role in the Broadway Musical âNineâ in 1983 as a regular cast member and understudy for the roleâLittle Guidoâ
He developed his talent at Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, Alma Mater of Boyz II Men, where he studied voice. It was during this time Jeff began playing keyboard and writing his own music.
Over the years Jeff has performed in various Theater productions. He was also the lead male vocalist for the R&B group ELS based out of New Orleans, singing covers like âSir Dukeâ by Stevie Wonder, âLetâs Stay Togetherâ by Al Green, âRoute 66â by Nat King Cole.
Jeffâs powerfulvvoice never fails to amaze his audiences. His soulful style allows him to sing a variety of genres of music including Pop, R&B, Dance, Gospel, Ballads, and Jazz. Over the past few years, Jeff has caught the attention of well respected artists in the music business including dance diva Thea Austin and R&B diva Patti Labelle. It was only a matter of time that Jeff would start recording his music.
Influenced by artist like Bonnie Raitt, Patti Labelle, Stevie Wonder, the Neville Brothers, Sting, Luther Vandross, The Pointer Sisters, Deborah Cox, Jeff has gone to the studio recording his original songs co-written with producer Dave Gerhart of Morning Star Studios and mixed by grammy award winning music engineer Glenn Barratt.
A former resident of New Orleans who was forced to relocate after hurricane Katrina, Jeff decided to dedicate his Latest CD âThe Music Will Not Stopâ to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Jeff is donating $2.oo from each CD sold to his former Boss, Sherryl Herbert, whose home was destroyed by the floods of Katrina. The title track was inspired by a newscast Jeff saw shortly after the hurricane about the musicians of New Orleans who vowed to keep the spirit of New Orleans alive through their music.
The first cut âNever Out of Reachâ was actually written by Jeff 4 years ago and features well known guitarist Jef Lee Johnson. After Katrina, Jeff felt it was time to record the song and after hearing the lyrics, youâll understand why. This heartfelt ballad is filled with emotion and powerful lyrics that touch on the common human experience of love, loss, and rebirth.
Also on this Cd is the hot club song âPossibilityâ and R&B/POP tunes âIf I Had The Chanceâ and âFeel, Breathe, Moveâ.
