Details:
Jeff âfioâ Fiorello is an emerging singer-songwriter on the acoustic rock scene who is highly influenced by the music of Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer. He grew up in Niceville, FL in a childhood filled with music, but didn't actually get on to the pop scene until he went off to college at Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, NC. There, he began writing seriously and formed his own band, Rustic, that played the college circuit in North Carolina. In 2004, his first solo show came when he opened for his good friends and fellow musicians in the band FreeMonica at their CD release. This led to a fulltime gig with FreeMonica as bassist/vocalist from 2004 to 2005. While with FreeMonica, Jeff got the bug to breakout as a solo artist and writer, so he started performing in Destin, FL, gaining valuable experience and feedback on his original music.
In 2005, Jeff got the opportunity of a lifetime by landing an internship with NBC Saturday Night Live (SNL). With this opportunity in hand, he packed up his gear and headed north to New York City. While serving his internship with SNL, he started playing solo gigs around the city and decided to continue to pursue a career in entertainment in earnest. This CD is the culmination of a lot of hard work over the past year with producer Ron Thaler and Tainted Blue Studios.
In June 2006, Jeff signed on and taped a show to be featured on City Sessions, a television show which will capture the essence of the music scene in major cities across the country through popular independent bands and individual musicians in those cities. The show, created by Larry Namer, founder of the E! Entertainment Television will be broadcast starting in late 2006 in high definition on YMCTV, available through Comcast Cable Systems and the Dish Network.
