Details:
The first five songs on this CD were inspired by the untimely death of our special friend, Betty who died in the autumn of 1999. Though greatly saddened by her death, we have been inspired by her continued presence. You see, Betty and her husband Hal, like most people, have contemplated, "What comes after this life? Are there angels? And if so, do they communicate with us?" A few years ago Hal and Betty decided that if angels couldn't really come out and talk to us, maybe they could just work out a way in which they could communicate. Hal and Betty came up with the idea that if something caused one of them to instantaneously look at a clock and the numbers were all the same (like 1:11, 4:44, 5:55 etc.), this was an angel saying "hi" and to let you know they were with you. It always fascinated Hal and Betty to see the numerous times the angels said "hi" and showed us they were present.
When Betty died suddenly in an auto accident 9/99, Hal did not lose his faith nor his belief in angels. After countless hours of tears and the support of his friends and his family, he was very tired and went to bed. Late that Sunday night as he lay crying softly, he sensed someone saying, "It's O.K., I'm O.K." He immediately pushed the light up button on his watch. It was exactly 2:00 a.m. (the number 2 has always been Hal's favorite number).
Then after a while, in that state between sleep and wakefulness, he heard it again, "It's O.K., I'm OK" Hal again pushed the button on his watch - it read exactly 2:22 a.m! He woke again at exactly 3:33 a.m. He was compelled to get out of bed and write down this message. Then at exactly 5:55 a.m. there was a simple "Hi, I love you."
Songs were compiled from poems written by friends for Betty.
