Like a story understood by all, Denver based singer/songwriterâ Jason Vigilâs forthcoming debut album, Heart Gone Sober (due out Fall 2006), delves deep into the life of a bleeding heart. Jasonâs unique songs that blend alternative, emo, pop and rock reflect and reveal that, with time, a person can sober up from substances, relationships or even life itself, and find direction. Jasonâs musical style has been compared to Matchbox 20, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, and Jimmy Eat World. He emanates powerful hooks with a smooth, passionate manner and flowing energy, with or without his band.
Three years after his last band dissolved, Jason embarked on a solo career. Since then he has been preparing and paying his dues, playing venues and clubs in northern Colorado, and by spreading his music regionally, including in New Mexico. His songs âNeed Your Spaceâ and âSweet Goodbyeâ have enjoyed radio airplay in Denver and Fort Collins. He has shared the stage with the likes of R.E.O. Speedwagon, .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Georgia Satellites. In 2005, Scene Magazine named Jason and his lineup the best band in Northern Colorado.
Jason has honed his skills as a performer and a songwriter by finding purpose in his music, and by embracing and promoting his belief that everyone has a purpose. His songwriting demonstrates this through self-reflection, loss, love and undying will.
He believes in capturing a feeling the moment it moves through someone, then allowing it to be experienced again, especially by others. Not only does Jason want listeners to interpret his songs for themselves, but to be able to find ownership in their meaning as well. Jasonâs live shows are filled with a deep energy, and his charismatic presence energizes and captivates each audience.
Jason is excited and extremely determined to continue moving forward with his career and to pursue his purpose. Music is the lifeblood of his existence, a conviction he manages to communicate to the hearts of his fans. He finds sustenance through his work, and is geared toward sharing this passion with the world.
