Fast electronic music with spoken word vocals (basically some talking and screaming). Think David Bowie meets' Aphex Twin or a less heavy version of Nine Inch Nails.

Details:
Hello, my name is Colin O. and I am 'James Conner.' I grew up in New Jersey (South Jersey) where I lived until I was twenty-three. I dropped out of college at the end of 2000 and returned to my parents' house.
Living in your parent's house while not holding a job, not attending school, and having little to no friends while watching massive amounts of television, movies, and listening to massive amounts of music while re-living your childhood in the house and the neighborhood you grew up in does some strange things to your psyche. It makes' you face your fears, examine yourself in every possible way, and lays a bedrock of stability for creation.
When I dropped out of college I knew I wanted to write an album and if ever there was a time to do so it was surely then. But when I returned home I didn't know how to write my 'album' or if I was even an artist/musician at all (I still don't know and probably never will). These issues combined with confronting my past, present, and possible future actually became the 'album' as I now know it.
What emerged from my three-year reclusive self-exile is my forthcoming album, 'James Conner: A Year In Light Of My Life.' Currently, I have a five song EP called, 'James Conner: For The Industry EP' which I put together at the end of 2003 as a concentrated taste of the album to come. 'A Year In The Light Of My Life' is my first full-length, sixteen track album that is a couple of months away from completion.
You can check out photos, buy the 'For The Industry EP' EP, read lyrics, and watch a music video for, 'I Do Not Accept It' at www.james-conner.com. You can also hear full-length mp3âs at www.myspace.com/jamesconner.
Thank-you for reading and listening.
Sincerely,
Colin O. (James Conner) 04/30/06
