James Sawyerâs musical career has taken flight these past two years. Jamesâs debut EP, âNext To Youâ landed into the hands of producer John Jamieson (Shania Twain). Bringing a classical arrangement, as well as stepping outside of the box feel to each song.

His debut release, âSave His Wordâ dedicated to Michael Papaioannouâ a child diagnosed with a rare disease called Lesch-Nyhan. The song earned commercial radio airplay earlier this year on 97.3 Ez Rock Toronto in support of the Sick Kids Telethon. âI felt like someone had to send a message out to bring attention to sick children like Michael,â says James.

This summer, James received a Songwriter Workshop Award from Factor Canada to spend time in Nashville. After returning from a successful trip, James prepares for his first single âNext To You â to hit nationwide college radio this winter.

With this momentum, where will James end up touching down? Hopefully, right âNext To Youâ.
