Details:
I was born in a small town in Southern Illinois. I have enjoyed singing ever since I was little. At the age of 12 I taught myself how to play guitar. My first competition I won 1st place and was crowned (Southern Illinois Country Idol 2006). I have 5 originals, 3 that I wrote on this CD.
I have performed on various opry's and was selected to perform in The Colgate Country showdown. Recently the I.C.M.A held their state Competition in Bloominton,Il. I received the Top Traditional Male Entertainer and The Top Traditional Male Vocalist also received Top Traditional Duo with a young lady from my home town. This now enables me to compete in the NACMAI which is a International Event, which will be held in Pigeon Forge, Tn. I am a regular performer at The Big River Gospel Opry.
My style of music and voice has been received as crisp, clear and as the newspaper's call me and I quote: "The new modern day Johnny Cash". I consider This a great compliment being as he was one of our great legends in country music.
I have performed on stage with many country stars
Tommy Overstreet, Chuck Day, Mike Manual, Barry Wayne
Kevin Blake Weldon, Mike Culpepper and Dan Duncan.
I will be performing on stage with Country music stars like Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd and others TBA at the TN fairgrounds this summer for the Carl Perkins Classic for abused children benefit.(for additional info www.jordancarter.com or jordanwcarter@yahoo.com)to be added to my rapid growing fan club mailing list.
I'm proud to announce I have 3 major sponsors for my upcoming appearances for 2007 - Nestle Purina, Macy's and
Splash Designs, they are great supporters of my music.
I also have just completed my first music video for
"Chances" and the crew has done a great job with it.
I'm very excited about it as it will be entered into
CMT video contest - please vote for my video when it becomes available in Feb 07 "it's really cool".
