Unique and original rock performed and written by John Trupp.
10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Folk Rock
Details:
I'm a musician-songwriter and native of the Washington, DC music scene. Early on, I joined a nationally touring group called New Potato Caboose. After years of road warrior touring, NPC was signed to Rykodisc and having sold tens of thousands of cds, broke up shortly after. That's the biz!
I then formed The True - a modern funkish rock ensemble with memorable hooks and forgettable looks. MCA bankrolled a development deal resulting in the break up of that band after years of circuitous regional touring. I also spent a stint with Derryberry and Alagia. Learned a lot but I disgress.
I am now with Radio Mosaic and produced, mostly wrote, and performed on our 2 CD releases. These are available right here on cdbaby. Just type Radio Mosaic in the search to find us. We also just released a DVD of our MHz Networks TV performance. Not too shabby for a bunch of low-class hacks.
I made a solo record called "Beware of the Dogma" while in between The True and Radio Mosaic. This cd is often considered my best work by my fans. And perhaps, all six of them are right.
UNTIL NOW! I've got a new solo CD called Karma Electric (which is probably why you're at cdbaby) and I'm performing live shows around the DC area. Please pick up the cd and support local music. You'll be glad you did.
