JOEL CRAWFORD does several things one at a time; he edits the quarterly SANDBOX newsletter and writes and records songs (retro, pop/rock, psychedelic, surf and country) which are issued on the SANDBOX Records label. He works in partnership for SANDBOX Records as a producer and promo man; his music publishing company, THREE MINUTE MUSIC is affiliated with BMI.
His first album (BeFriender CDLP-1006) arrived July 20th, 1999; his next is scheduled for 2007. Joel currently fronts the Heretics who released BLASPHEMY November 1, 2005.
JERRY CAMPBELL is another side of Joel Crawford. The pop idol / saloon singer is known for his renditions of "Cry" and "Stairway To Heaven". Look for LEGIBLE BACHELOR by Jerry Campbell and the Debonaires in the near future.
BUCK DENIM is Joel's country persona. He performed at Bill Graham Presents' CountryFest at Shoreline Amphitheatre when "Not Tonight Dear" made him a finalist in the Best Of The Bay Songwriting Contest. "Not Tonight Dear", "Gray Day" and "Surfin' Guru" have all received airplay on college radio.
Joel has been a disc jockey on KPSR, KFJC and KCSB and is a founding father and former Program Director at KKUP. He's a San Francisco Giants fan who encourages you to register and to vote. His singular goal in life is to die naturally of of old age.
