AK-Charlie have enough melodic harmony's and play fast enough to be considered punk rock. They also have as many sweeping solo's and shredding riff's to make you wonder if they're a bit metal. The truth is they are somewhere in between and are content with the genre plain and simple, "rock". Influenced heavily by guitar god's such as Kerry King, Slash and Dimebag Darrell. Inspired by the up beat, raw energy of punk bands like A.F.I., NoFx, Strung out, and The Misfits to name a few. These elements combined are what help define AK's sound and musical direction.

The band hail from the bustling metropolis of Ogden, Utah. Home to all four members, where they attended the same high school and each had bands of their own. AK-Charlie was formed in 2002 by front man/vocalist Curt Tuck aka "Grizz", guitarist B.J. Parker, bassist James Burton, and drummer Robert Dean. AK have tore up the Ogden scene playing literally every bar, strip club, street festival, skate competition, NPO benefit, and house party possible. Adding a date on The Vans Warped Tour 06' to their list of shows played.

This was our first album. (released in January 2006). It was recorded and mastered a few months earlier at Salt Lake's own Boho Digitalia. The album touches on political and religious issues as well as relationship complications.

This CD is basically a compilation of our earliest work, lots of the songs on this album are songs that we have had FOREVER...for example "someshit","take me away" & "popularity chase" are over ten years old and were written/played by Curt/James LONG before AK was ever a band.

AK-Charlie are constantly writing and have recorded about half an album worth of new and "improved" material and the other half still in the works. The album is due to release 2007, with a soon to be released 4 song EP in EARLY '07! They are also planning a tour of the surrounding states.
