This one-two punch from Columbus, Ohio, is a leading factor to give hip-hop and R&B what it has been missing. Their sound sets itself apart from the others with clever melodies and catchy hooks. Both, at such a young age, already have their sights set on success.
A natural born performer, at the age of 8 Yung DOE began writing and performing his own rap songs. Yung DOE, is a gifted actor, performer and rapper in his own right. Following in the footsteps of his father, Yung DOE learned to play several instruments beginning with the drums and moving on to the bass and keyboards. Yung DOE did not stop there, at age 12; he would go to different studios around the county, (with his father), during the summer school break, where he learned how to engineer. Yung DOE has had the opportunity to sit in on several major recording sessions. His most memorable was in Cleveland, Ohio with mega producer Edwin "Tony" Nicholas. Yung DOE learned many techniques about engineering as well as production. By age 13, Yung DOE was composing, producing and mixing his own material. He has compiled several hundred songs, selling his own records at various clubs and stores in Columbus, Ohio. This entrepreneur understands the business of music as well as the business of making music.
Being born straight into music, from playing instruments to being in plays DEV was born to perform. At the age of 10, DEV decided he wanted to be a musician. He started out playing instruments, from the saxophone to the drums and then going on to writing music. With his face in the television watching famous performers he decided that's what he wanted to be a songwriter. At the age of 13 DEV began to pursue his dream by going place-to-place trying to be heard. Now that he's older and sees what it takes, he has put all his effort and time into his dream. From traveling to cities from Atlanta to New York City meeting producers and engineers he has learned that its crunch time. Now at the age of 17 he has accomplished many tasks from making music to selling his music at local clubs and events around Columbus, Ohio. Also, recording fellow friends, engineering and mixing their music, DEV believes he is ready for the industry.
