Originally from the Bronx, the group has gone on to become world famous. The Rhythm Makers were signed by Delight Records, along with the group, Kool & the Gang. The Rhythm Makers first hit song was ZONE, which was on the Billboard charts for more than 3 months. The Rhythm Makers next big hit, SOUL ON YOUR SIDE, written by Kenneth Banks, Keith Crier, Raheim Leblanc and Herb Lane. SOUL ON YOUR SIDE was re-recorded as DISCO NIGHTS/ROCK FREAK, which is one of the largest selling dance recording of all time.
Kenneth Banks, the original drummer for the Rhythm Makers and GQ, has now reformed the group and is back with their smash release, GROOVE TO THE FUNK, now available on Ken's successful new record label, TTP Records.
Look for the release of the new album this fall, EVERYBODY NEEDS MONEY!!!!!!!!
