Rhiannon aka Niamh O Brien, is a young Irish Independent Singer Songwriter from Ireland. As Vocalist and Lead Singer she performs as a solo act and with various world musicians for each of her shows to create a collage & mosaic of exotic, harmonic textures. Her vocal gymnastics on the album have drawn lots of comparisons with Kate Bush from reviewers and media, describing her music as highly innovative. Some of her songs have quite a surreal quality to them. She produced and financed her own album, as a lot of independents are beginning to do nowadays. She is also an accomplished Professional Actress and has tread the boards in most of the top theatres in Dublin, she has acted in Feature Films and performed, toured and recorded with Anuna and The National Chamber Choir. She performed in many Operas with Opera Ireland and also in Musical Theatre. She has performed on RTE Television, & on the BBC, sung in the Royal Albert Hall & performs in Ireland and Internationally. In live performance she dares to take risks with quirky, sexy delivery. A Rhiannon show is a complete theatrical experience full of surprises. Her background as an Actress gives her a dynamic & vibrant stage presence. She has worked as a Professional Director in the theatre too, winning great praise for her directing skills from Michael Bogdanov of the English Shakespeare Co. She also composes for short films.
