RUDITOONZ' second album, features 8 danceable, fun songs for kids and their parents, plus a special version of "Home on the Range".
9 MP3 Songs
KIDS/FAMILY: Children's Pop, KIDS/FAMILY: General Children's Music
Details:
Performing for children for over ten years, Rudi (Scott Rudicel to his parents) has found a niche in writing songs that appeal to both kids and their parents. With sweet and simple tunes, silliness abounds on this, his second album, with alligators taking over the house, yodel contests, a candy thief, and an obvious tribute to Shel Silverstein on "Silly Billy and his Funny Friends": "...they all live where the sidewalk ends." The song "The Best Me You Can Be" has been adopted as the kindergarten graduation song for many Indianapolis, Indiana area Montessori schools. Sample lyrics: "...take care of your body and take care of your mind, and your face might hurt a little bit from smiling all the time. Learn to breathe and laugh and have the most fun that you can..." The album ends with an acoustic version of "Home on the Range", recorded live in an empty theatre as a tribute to his late grandfather, Rex Rudicel. It was Rex's favorite song.
Rudi enjoyed local, regional and national success with numerous rock and folk bands in the 90's and early 2000's, traveling the country and appearing on many CD's for various artists, including his own bands, Liquid Circumstance and The Fabulous Lettuce Monkeys. A gig in Montana for a roommate's day-care center, and the birth his two nephews, Alex and Austin, prompted him to begin writing his own songs for children.
