It sounds alot like The Doors is the first comment by many listeners of the new album by BARBARIZE titled CAN'T HOLD ME BACK. That's alright with Al Barber, vocalist and drummer for the band. He also wrote all the songs. To be compared to The Doors is an honor. If people think we sound like The Doors, that's ok.
The songs can be on the darkside like the haunting AT THE WALL, which is about a Vietnam veteran who goes to the Vietnam Memorial and revisits his past. The character in NOTHINGS RIGHT finds that not much is right in his world. The title track, CAN'T HOLD ME BACK, breaks away from the darkside with a defiant leap and heads for the sky. The musical arrangements are tantalizing and the performances are outstanding. Don't miss this one.
