Details:
This is the project that started it all for pop/jazz guitarist Russ Freeman. Originally released in 1985, this classic and very popular CD has been out of print for several years and is only now being made available electronically.
As an unknown musician/composer, Russ Freeman recorded this project for BrainChild Records and quickly became one of the most popular and sought after musicians in this genre. The critical and commercial success of "Nocturnal Playground" led to Russ forming the group THE RIPPINGTONS featuring RUSS FREEMAN. Two of the primary musicians featured on "Nocturnal Playground", Brandon Fields (sax) and Steve Reid (percussion) were also original members of THE RIPPINGTONS, which celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2006.
"Nocturnal Playground" still receives significant airplay across the country. Although still in demand, it's highly unlikely that this CD will ever be re-released for retail purposes.
