RETADA is made of a Japanese multi-instrumentalist âTadayuki Hirano(known mostly as TADA)".
Music is like sound sketch of every day life in New York City. It's HIGH ENERGY, COLORFUL, UNIQUE, CONFUSING, FANCY, GREEDY & SURPRISING... all that on a same canvas.
Album includes a latin funk metal anthem like âAPOCALYPSEâ, Japanese dub with feel of midwest grunge meets beatles like âBEAUTIFUL DAYâ,
space rockânâroll of âHIGHWAY HYPNOSISâ, almost haunted weird nuvo dub pop of âSMOKINâ THE DUSTâ. Album is almost like a nonstop sound-track.
At the show, TADA starts out the sound with his suitcase full of gadgets, and all the sudden he would grab a pair of drum sticks and starts to bang on the drumset then next thing you know, he is back on the suitcase with his guitar on his shoulder and go to the next song. With some songs, he would only have a microphone and just concentrate on singing. Then drum solo, guitar solo... Itâs like an One-man arena rock with touch of a performance art.
