david schofield aka the reverend jd love â guitarist/singer/songwriter

presently doing shows and recording a cd with australian post acid wash/alt/country band 50 million beers. also working solo as rev jd love having recorded an independently released cd of 10 original songs, story telling with a back beat, in the tradition of tony joe white, steve earle, john hiatt. the entire cd was recorded in one session âliveâ and first takes. visit www.revjdlove.com for more info including mp3s.


in 1976 played on an australian national number one hit single 'don't fall in love' by the ferrets which is still available here on cd. it still gets airplay!


we did shows headlining alongside blondie (they toured australia before they were famous) and recorded another LP and some singles. in 1980 worked with the motivators playing up on your feet rock. got some airplay and toured alongside thin lizzie and bo diddley.



in 1995 I heard 'I got you' by dwight yoakam and stopped listening to pop/rock and got hooked right into country. played lots of clubs, pubs and bars and in projects involving musicians from the late slim dustyâs band, the sports, the flaming stars, spurs for jesus etc and artists including christa hughes, bill chambers, bernie hayes and dave graney.
