Crafty pop songwriting with a bluesy and jazzy edge.
12 MP3 Songs
POP: with Electronic Production, EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock
Details:
The Rebekka Fisher Band is a bluesy/rock group with a jazz influence performing around the Twin Cities. Fisherâs influences include Carole King, Parliament Funkadelics, James Brown, and Gladys Knight.
This CD is a combination of live takes in the studio and production and electronica from a producer named Deevo in the Twin Cities area. But beyond the great quality of the recording and mastering, the songwriting is crafty, creative and leads you to unexpected territory. This is Rebekka's 4th CD, but the first one where she collaborates with the best songwriters of the area.
"I love this CD! This is something I would play at home". Matt Zimmerman, Wild Sound Recordings.
"Sounds good. I like it. May I keep it?" Prescott Niles from The Knack.
Her website generates about 400 hits per day, and she started a non profit for women in music at www.wimmn.com
